Spiritual Leadership

I’m reading a good book entitled Spiritual Leadership by Henry and Richard Blackaby. Tonight I came across something that I believe is so true.

“The success of a spiritual leader is not measured in dollars, percentages, numbers, or attendance. A person is truly a spiritual leader when others are motivated to be more like Christ.”

That is what I want more than anything else…to see people become more like Christ. That is why I have given my life to this vocation.

I hope that is your desire as well as each of you leads in your respective areas of ministry.

  1. it is a good book and is written not just for pastors but for business people, etc. Anyone who is a Christian and a leader. Even if you flip through to what I have underlined, you will get the meat of it. I am trying to type notes and stuff from books that I read if anyone else is interested as well.

  2. It sounds like a good book to own. Maybe it would be a good book to put on my Christmas list. Maybe you could give me yours…with all the underlining…(half-smiling). I’d be ahead of the game, right?

  3. no way! The notes and underlinings are what makes it special. Ha ha. You can take a look at it and I’ll buy you one for Christmas if you are interested. Probably more reading than you want to do overall though.

  4. Dan, what you need to do is buy your mom the book and then go through and copy the underlinings from your book into hers!!! That would make such a special, personalized gift (he-he)!
