My Most Recent Memory Verse

2 Chronicles 16:9

“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”

Isn’t that a great verse?

If you’ve memorized a verse that’s been meaninful recently, would you be willing to share it here?

  1. I loved that verse. I will work on memorizing that one today. How do you do the memorization work? Do you aim for one a day or one a week or just memorize one when it hits your heart?

  2. I have committed to scripture memorization as a part of my regular devotional/discipleship priorites. I got it in a day or two going back to what I did in high school. I write the verse on an index card and put it in front of me. With this one I put it on the car dashboard. I want to start memorizing larger chunks of scripture and not just verses, but we’ll see.

  3. Yikes, Dan, I say that I want to do it, but then I don’t…Maybe if I committed to you to do one simple Scripture a week, that would be a start. Do you do this as a church body? Maybe others would like to do this with me…or I could do it with them.

  4. I’m not sure that anyone in the church is on a memorization program. Actually, all the kids in Awana are – it’s part of the program. One verse a week would be fantastic. You’ll memorize more Scripture in a year than most people do in their lives! If anybody wants accountability, I’m up for it!
